The Monsoon is Finally Here

So, after a brief delay, the monsoon has finally hit Mumbai. It was scheduled to hit us on the 7th of June, but got delayed due to the hurricane that hit Oman.

It had been raining daily for a few days prior, but the weathermen kept insisting that these are pre-monsoon showers, and not the real thing. And I could not understand why. That is, till yesterday. When I woke up to a grey, cloudy sky, with a slight drizzle. This is not my favourite season, I prefer the bright sunshine, however hot it may be. But strangely, I do not seem to mind the rains that much this year. Wonder why...
